Kid Konfident is a series of books designed to help children ages 3-8 with emotional expression. Each book has activities that help with identifying and understanding emotions, learning effective ways of coping with them, and how to express those emotions in appropriate ways. The ultimate goal of Kid Konfident is to help kids build personal confidence at an early age.
I chose this project for my Capstone as a result of my own struggles in life with self confidence. Developing emotional intelligence—understanding, using, and managing ones own emotions in positive ways to communicate effectively, relieve stress, overcome challenges, and diffuse conflict—begins in the home, child care, and early education. Kid Konfidence is the result of months of research, brainstorming, and hard work.

Process
Developing, redesiging and then refining the base emotion icons and supporting illustrations to create cohesive and effective visuals for the workbooks.
